WASHINGTON, D.C. – Paul Marik, M.D., co-founder and chief scientific officer of the FLCCC, will testify today to the Health Provider Services Committee of the Ohio State House in support of HB 73, a bill that, if passed into law, will protect doctors and healthcare professionals from unwarranted policies that prevent patient access to repurposed medications.
In his testimony, Dr. Marik will discuss the importance of HB 73 in protecting doctors when prescribing repurposed medications based on their knowledge and training and without the improper interference of state agencies following politically driven edicts. Additionally, Dr. Marik will detail the critical role repurposed drugs have in medicine in treating diseases such as cancer, high-blood pressure, and fibromyalgia.
“The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the weaknesses of our health infrastructure, particularly the deficiencies in researching and deploying readily available drugs,” said Paul Marik, M.D., co-founder and chief scientific officer of the FLCCC. “My hope is that HB 73 will restore the integrity the medical establishment lost when it placed a higher value on the edicts of unknown bureaucrats than the years of training and expertise of medical professionals who treat patients every day.”
