Washington, D.C.—Today, Dr. Paul Marik and Dr. Pierre Kory will defend their board certifications in a significant hearing with the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). This hearing appeals from a Committee decision made July 27, 2023 and is the next step in nearly two years of discussions with the ABIM since an initial Notice of Potential Disciplinary Action was issued on May 26, 2022.
Today’s proceedings stem from the doctors’ public endorsements of early treatment methods for COVID-19, their discussions on repurposed medications, and their critique of vaccine risks and harms. Alongside Drs. Marik and Kory, the FLCCC Alliance has consistently defended these positions, citing substantial medical and scientific evidence.
Thanks to your past support, in January 2023, the FLCCC and its legal team submitted a detailed 60-page joint response featuring over 170 references, and a further appeal of the Board’s recommended disciplinary actions. The upcoming hearing will allow Dr. Marik and Dr. Kory to testify on their own behalf and as expert witnesses for each other.
Without a doubt, our doctors are being targeted in an attempt to more broadly silence those who publicly share professional opinions that differ from the preferred narrative. It’s critical—and core to the mission and ethos of the FLCCC Alliance—that we continue to stand up for healthcare professionals and their rights. That’s why this case and hearing are so important. Today it’s our doctors’ stance on COVID-19 and vaccination, but who knows what it might be tomorrow? At stake are the rights of physicians around the country to practice medicine as they know best, and the ability of patients to be treated based on their own individual needs and research-based medicine, not “consensus”.
FLCCC Alliance statement from August 2023
“It is because of this attack on freedom of speech and the ability of physicians to openly share their expertise with their patients that the FLCCC Alliance and Drs. Marik and Kory have continued to respond and appeal at each appropriate stage, per the ABIM bylaws,” said Dr. Joseph Varon, president and chief medical officer of the FLCCC Alliance.
“The outcome of this hearing will determine what our next course of action will be,” said Dr. Marik, chief scientific officer of the FLCCC Alliance. “In the meantime, the support from FLCCC’s followers and donors continues to be vital and we are grateful for the unwavering commitment. Together, we will keep fighting to ensure that physicians have the freedom to practice medicine based on science and conscience, without undue interference. We remain steadfast in our mission to uphold the integrity of the medical profession and advocate for treatments that can save lives.”
If you are able, please make a gift today to support the FLCCC, Dr. Marik, and Dr. Kory in this critical fight. We are up against powerful, censorious forces, but with you, our FLCCC Army by our side, we can continue to push back against a system that is deeply flawed and advocate for doctors and patients around the country.
Thank you for your support.
