Regarding liver disease, ivermectin is well tolerated given that in its decades of use there is only a single case of liver injury reported one month after use, which was rapidly recovered. Ivermectin has not been associated with acute liver failure or chronic liver injury. Further, no dose adjustments are required in patients with liver disease.
