Dr. Yasufumi Murakami, Senior Fellow, Molecular Oncology and Pharmacology
Dr. Yasufumi Murakami, PhD, is a distinguished professor at the Department of Biotechnology and Science, Tokyo University of Science, Japan. He earned his Ph.D. degree from the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Science, Tokyo University, in 1984. Currently, he serves as the vice Director at the Research Center for RNA Science at Tokyo University of Science.
Dr. Murakami has an extensive academic career, highlighted by over 100 scientific publications. His research spans multiple fields, including the molecular biology of DNA tumor viruses, genomic research, functional genomics, and the identification of novel therapeutic targets for various cancers. Additionally, he is involved in the production of monoclonal antibodies (Mabs) for therapeutic applications.
As a Professor Emeritus, Dr. Murakami continues to contribute significantly to the scientific community through his research and mentorship.
