Dr. Jose Iglesias, Co-Founder and Senior Fellow, Nephrology

Dr. Jose Iglesias, DO, FASN, FACP, is a renowned nephrologist and co-founder of a leading medical organization. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Critical Care, and is a specialist in Hypertension as recognized by the American Society of Hypertension. Dr. Iglesias serves as an Associate Professor of Medicine at both the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine and Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.

Dr. Iglesias has spent time overseeing comprehensive nephrology care, including critical care nephrology, renal transplant patient care, hypertension management, and septic shock medicine. His clinical and research interests span critical illness, including septic shock, congestive heart failure, and acute kidney injury.

Dr. Iglesias has been actively involved in clinical research, with his randomized controlled trial published in Chest demonstrating reduced vasopressor therapy requirements in septic shock patients treated with intravenous ascorbic acid. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, he has worked tirelessly in ICUs across New Jersey, contributing to the development of the MATH+ hospital treatment protocol for COVID-19 based on his rapidly accumulated clinical insights and expertise.
