Cardiac Cell Mitochondrial Damage by the Spike Protein

In this lecture we first discuss the general structure and function of mitochondria. Then we discuss a first-of-its-kind study from Taiwan that demonstrates mitochondrial damage in cardiac pericyte cells when presented with the S1 part of the spike protein. Let’s review.
