Biomarkers in Spikopathy Can Help Guide Treatment

Lecture abstract:

Presenting a case report of a patient I have treated twice for long COVID, I will discuss the healing effects of medications, diet, cryotherapy, and grounding. My talk will focus on the physiology and psychology of lifestyle therapies in this specific patient population. It will demonstrate the difficulty involved in translating simple protocols into acceptable treatments, the pitfalls relating to communication and trust, and how education can lead to increased uptake of lifestyle recommendations. This can not only speed recovery but provide a sense of empowerment over the disease course.

About the Speaker

Board certified in Internal Medicine with additional training in Functional Medicine, Dr. Haider has extensive experience working in large and small hospitals, clinics, local communities, and online. He has 15 years of experience in corporate healthcare and has helped tens of thousands of patients.

Having experienced the fractured, impersonal, inconvenient, and outright harmful healthcare system firsthand, he used the experience to create a more personal, professional, and health-focused telemedicine practice at mygotodoc.com.

Dr. Haider’s medical philosophy centers around the mandate to first do no harm, which in chronic conditions can usually only be achieved by encouraging lifestyle change first, followed by supplements, and finally resorting to pharmaceuticals and procedures if necessary. He believes in ongoing incremental patient education that powers incremental change that quickly snowballs into positive health outcomes.
