The human brain has been shrinking for years, but what will the era post-COVID and the pandemic bring? We are currently seeing new variants of neurodegenerative disease that are more rapid in onset and more rapidly progressive. My lecture will demonstrate why Functional Neurological Disorder is a dangerous diagnosis. We will review treatment strategies and ways to heal the brain.
About the Speaker
Dr. Gazda approaches neurological disorders with a systems-based approach that addresses the root cause of disease. Dr. Gazda has a diverse professional and personal perspective on neurological disorders, which as of 2021 includes the evaluation and treatment of long COVID and post-vaccine syndrome.
With over three decades of experience and specialized efforts in multiple sclerosis treatment and clinical research, Dr. Gazda is a noted speaker and presenter who has been recognized by both industry organizations and consumer media.
Dr. Gazda received a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Texas in Austin, then attended medical school at the Health Science Center in San Antonio. She has been dedicated to patient care since 1989 and is the founder of the Neurology Institute of San Antonio, a state-of-the-art institute offering the latest in neurology services.
Dr. Gazda has participated in over 200 clinical research studies focused on Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, multiple sclerosis, neuropathic pain, headache, and epilepsy. Her extensive learning in Functional Medicine enhances her patient care and diagnostic capabilities with clinically proven therapies for many neurological disorders and conditions.
