Cells, Sequences, and Spike Damage: The clot thickens
Lecture abstract:
In the past year, most individuals have been exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein in the environment or as a result of the gene-based injection, triggering numerous pathophysiological processes. The spike protein has demonstrated multiple injurious alterations at the cellular and systemic level.
This talk will focus on the pathways and mechanisms of action of the spike protein as we currently understand them, as well as areas for future research, highlighting cellular interactions and potential areas of developing treatments for those with long COVID or vaccine injury.
About the Speaker
Dr. Cole is a board-certified Anatomic and Clinical pathologist with subspecialty training and 20 years of experience in Dermatopathology and a particular interest in Molecular Diagnostics.
After receiving his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, where he also spent a concurrent PhD candidate year in Immunology and Virology research, he trained at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, completing his residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, as well as a fellowship in Surgical Pathology. He then completed a fellowship in Dermatopathology, under the world expert in the field, Dr. A. Bernard Ackerman.
In 2004, Dr. Cole founded Cole Diagnostics, an independent, full-service medical laboratory in Boise, Idaho. The company processes and reports out approximately 40,000 blood and biopsy patient samples annually. In the last year, the lab has handled over 100,000 COVID testing samples.
