Tips on how to change your profile
As new users get settled into the system, you may want to start personalizing your profile.
A common request is to change your username. In our system, that is called Nickname and can be changed at any time in your profile settings.
Here is a guide we wrote to show how to do that and edit other parts of your profile, such as the profile picture and cover image.

Probably also worth looking at your real name and the privacy settings – which by default it is set to public. Which you may or may not like.
I changed my real name visibility to “My Connections” only, retyped my name again, hit “Close”, then “Save Changes”.
