My family has used ivermectin several times for Covid in the past few years and have always followed the FLCCC protocol. My mom was just diagnosed, and her provider is telling her to take her dosage spread out throughout the day, rather than at one time around lunchtime, which is what we’ve always done. Is there a reason for this, or is it less effective? The provider had no reason except to say that it’s more normal to do that. Thanks for any insight!

I’d just follow the FLCCC protocol if it were me.

The half life of IVM in the body is between 18 hours and 36 hours with a most likely average of 24 hours. By spreading the dosage over an 8 hour interval instead of all at one time allows the body to gradually uptake the IVM into the cells. It is a way to modulate the body’s response to the introduction of a substance to reduce any potential reaction or side effects. Instead of a peak you get something like a smaller three hump wave. Your doctor is just being careful.

In any event it is more effective to have a little fat in a meal prior to the ingestion of the IVM so be sure to do so for maximum effect.
