How many times a week to take Ivermectin?

During the high flu season, I had decided to take Ivermectin 12 mg twice a week. When we attended a funeral in January, I took Ivermectin 12 mg and Hydroxychloroquine 200 mg, Quercetin, zinc, vit C and Vit D daily until we came home. I’m in my late 70s with a number of comorbidities and am unvaccinated.

Now I’ve decided to take Ivermectin 12 mg once a week.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks.

I’m a 75yo vegan for 34 years with no health issues other than BPH and bladder stone issues which I am controlling with diet and potassium citrate for uric acid and pH moderation. I take 6mg every other day as a baseline prophylactic. The off days are quercetin. If I have a sense of imbalance as I did about 2 months ago, I will start taking 12mg daily until I feel the homeostasis return. I plan to continue this protocol for the rest of my life. I am comfortable with the safety profile of IVM. I have never had any adverse issues from the published contraindications or adverse reactions.

My wife and I both started taking Ivermectin (12mg – twice a week) about 8 months ago. I am 65 and she is 63. Both in excellent physical shape (no extra weight), unvaccinated and active (my wife is very active). She wanted to try this based on anecdotal stories of people who had surprise relief from joint and arthritis type pain due to the anti-inflammatory properties of Ivermectin. She has regular such pain and has trouble getting comfortable when she first lies down in bed at night. After about 5 months of taking Ivermectin she is 90% pain free for the first time in many years and no longer needs to take Advil before bed, which she was doing a few nights a week. She said she used to have discomfort throughout the day that is gone. I had shoulder and ankle discomfort related to working out and a past injury. Also now all but gone. And I wasn’t even taking it for this but rather for the anti-cancer properties. Considering we now expect to be taking this longer term we also want to get down to the minimum dose that will be effective and are looking at taking it once a week instead of twice. So any info or professional experience would be appreciated.

Do you take the ivermectin 2 days in a row? Or space them apart during the week?

This is my first post. I just joined today specifically to find the answer to this question. I have been trying to find this answer for several months now. I just couldn’t find it in the FLCCC info. It just said twice a week.

I am vaccine injured and I’m finally able to travel to see my mother, whom I haven’t seen in 5 year. I have wanted to be on top of this way before the trip. I have 3 weeks before departing. The FLCCC administroter guiding me, via email, to this forum to ask the question, because she couldn’t give me medical information. I purchased 6mg tablets in Oct. 2023 in the event I ever got out of being House bound.

I want to take it twice a week for the next 3 weeks and then daily during my trip. I just need an answer to that question. I intend to follow the prototcol of taking the quecetin on off days.

Thanks in advance for your assistance. I really have a lot of confidence in the IVM. I have researched a lot and so many great doctors educating the public with accurate information and kind and caring intentions for all. This question tho, has been quite a pickle to get the answer. I thought I would’ve had it by now:-)

The good news is that I did have a big win and found a spike detox protocol that would work for me from Italy and i am beginning to get my life back. Have been driving for 6 weeks. Haven’t been able to for 3 years. Blessings to you and your wife. Gladdens my heart that you avoided the injections:-)

Hello, I am really interested in your post as I would like to know about strength and dosage of Ivermectin. I have had rheumatoid arthritis for 15 years ( i am 72) I have always used alternative therapies. However my shoulders and muscles around them are in a terrible state for around a year and I am really handicapped and considered taking immunotherapy but am still reluctant due to the high chances of getting cancer.

My doctor is very open to Ivermectin but doesn’t know the dosage. Did you just try out 12mg twice a week or did you get some scientific advice? The only thing I could find was 0.2mg per kilo but there is no info available for RA and cancer as it is not commonly used by doctors. It looks like you are searching like me!

I live in Europe. I don’t know if Ivermectin is sold for human use even with a prescription. I see people seem to buy in India but I can’t find a sure source with approved GMP. There is a site listing all Indian suppliers but it is for bulk purchase. I don’t know if veterinary Ph grade is the same as what is sold for humans. Did you manage to get any information? I would be very grateful for any feedback.

I haven’t seen anything related to RA and IVM so don’t know the recommended protocol. I have seen a couple of references to cancer treatments using high dose IVM around 1mg to 2mg/kg which is about 10x the dosage for viral infections. The vendors on Indiamart have all been vetted and you don’t necessarily have to buy in bulk. They will sell you individual strips of ten if that is all you want but the shipping is very high so you get the biggest bang for your buck if you buy in bulk and spread the cost of the shipping over the entire order. There are other meds available as well. I got LDN in 1.5mg without a Rx along with my last order of IVM. Keep in mind that India has been manufacturing IVM for humans for many years and it is used throughout the world. Before the pandemic it was used extensively for river blindness. The veterinary product and the human product are almost identical but the requirements for the human grade are supposed to be a bit more restrictive. Both products are very inexpensive so I would just opt for the human grade since availability is not an issue.

I bought mine from India but you can get it in Tennessee as an over the counter med. I don’t know what it cost in TN but it is super cheap in India. It is generally about 10 to 20 cents per pill in most of the India pharmacies. The companies in India are very competitive. The problem is that the shipping charges are very high and there is always the possibility that the package won’t get through customs. Not so much of a risk now that Covid is moot. And most pharmacies in India don’t require a prescription. So I will continue to buy from Indiamart unless the price becomes competitive in the US.

I have been researching and found firstly an article in Forbes India naming the top 10 Indian pharma companies. top of the list is Sun pharmaceuticals. Then I hit by chance on a site of import export called Volza and there they list the main importers of Ivermectin by country. As I live in Switzerland and, according to Volza, Switzerland is the third largest importer of Ivermectin, I looked at what the Swiss are importing and they are: New Ivermectol, Ivermerc, Imrotab, Austro Ivermectin, and Ivetab. New Ivermectol, according to my search is made by Sun Pharmaceuticals which reassures me but couldn’t find on Indiamarkt. It’s not clear if the products they show are really New Ivermectol. Ivetab is apparently made by Polaris but I couldn’t find info on Polaris

Austro Ivermectin, Ivertab and Imrotab you can find on Indiamart.

I just saw also that the Australian TGA tested some imported products of 2 other brands and say

“The products – Iverheal-12 and Iverjohn-12 – are labelled as containing
12mg of the active pharmaceutical ingredient ivermectin, however
laboratory testing has confirmed that they contain less than the
declared amount of ivermectin written on the labels.”

this doesn’t mean that they are of dubious quality though.

I haven’t purchased yet as I am worried it won’t get through the customs here as I found warnings about illegal importation etc.

      I hope this is helpful

I’ve been taking 12mg IVM once/wk for a couple of years for antiviral and anticancer support. I also take other supplements listed below.
However, as I wrote to vegadan in another thread, I’m not sure my India-sourced IVM is legit because I caught a virus last year that laid me up for a week with 102 fever/headache/bodyaches, and taking IVM 18mg/daily for a week (plus my supplements) didn’t seem to do a thing against it; a week after recovering from that, I had a weeks-long shingles attack that I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy.

If I can get a known-quality IVM source I’ll happily take it for the rest of my life. (Not having a source in early 2022 when I got Covid, I bought a tube of horsepaste before it was banned and dosed it per online recommendations. I think it helped some though I probably started too late for best effect.)

Supplements taken daily, Mon – Sat:

    -Vit C 1mg

    -Vit D3 5K IU

    -Vit B complex capsule

    -Vit K2 ~40mg

-elemental Zinc 220mg (50mg effective zinc) every other day

    -Quercetin 500mg

-Magnesium (mix of 5 types) 500mg

    -CoQ10 300mg

    -NAC 600mg every other day

    -Black Seed oil 1 tsp

-homemade electrolyte drink (ground pink salt + potassium chloride + magnesium powder) in 16 oz warm water

-Once daily I eat a Budwig Protocol anti-inflammatory “muesli” mixing 4 tbs cottage cheese with some almond milk +2 tbs fresh-ground flaxseed + 3 tbs flaxseed oil, tossing in some chopped walnuts + raw pumpkin seeds + chia seeds + ground hemp seeds for their anti-inflammatory and protein benefits.

As a cancer survivor and gluten/dairy-sensitive I’m also on a very-low animal-protein diet and have eliminated junk foods, seed oils, alcohol, gluten & dairy (except for the cottage cheese).

That is amazing that your supplements are very similar to mine. In addition I have berberine, a multivit, potassium citrate for my pH control, ashwagandha, brazil nuts, omega-3, and taurine. On my consideration list is CoQ-10, spermidine, nattokinase, and LDN for the tinnitus that I believe started in 2019. Just a note on the Vit K. Adult dosage should be about 120 micro grams per day so 40mg might be contraindicated. And I am assuming the Vit C is actually 1g not 1mg.

I just discussed with my doctor about dosage and told her about your experience. She thought for me to start with twice a week. You could just cut to once a week and see how it goes and then reduce the strength if you want continue for ever. I am going to start with Artemesia annua powder, the anti malarial (also being studied for autoimmune diseases and cancer) and see if it works first due to the problem of getting ivermectin through the customs here. I have ordered it in the US from a producer. It is less problematic. I keep my fingers crossed.

In this paper it tells the half-life of Ivemectin:

    https://www.accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatfda_docs/label/2008/050742s022lbl.pdf

It says: “The plasma half-life of ivermectin in man is approximately 18 hours following oral administration”

The source is from the fda so maybe you should check some other data with a search engine.
