Announcing Community Points and Ranks!
We are excited to announce a big new feature called Community Points. This system allows users to earn points based on their activity. Earning points allows you to earn ranks and improve your community reputation!
This feature will also help users explore the system and test out specific features. Below are the types of activities you can do to earn points.
Later, we will introduce a way to spend your points on achievement badges and ranks!
Some of these award points daily, so be sure to come back every day and earn more points!
- 5 Community Points for publishing an activity post (limited to 1 per day)
- 5 Community Points for removing one of your activity posts
- 5 Community Points for replying to an activity post (limited to 1 per day)
- 5 Community Points for getting a reply on an activity post (limited to 1 per day)
- 5 Community Points for removing one of your replies to an activity post
- 5 Community Points to favorite an activity post
- 5 Community Points to remove a favorite on an activity post
- 5 Community Points for getting a favorite on an activity post
- 5 Community Points for following someone
- 5 Community Points for getting a follower
- 5 Community Points for creating a new topic (limited to 1 per day)
- 5 Community Points for replying to a topic (limited to 1 per day)
- 5 Community Points for getting a reply to a topic (limited to 1 per day)
- 5 Community Points to favorite a topic
- 5 Community Points for getting a new favorite on a topic
- 5 Community Points for removing one of your forum discussions
- 5 Community Points for removing one of your replies to a forum discussion
- 5 Community Points for sending a friendship request
- 5 Community Points for accepting a friendship request
- 5 Community Points for getting a friendship request accepted
- 5 Community Points for publishing an activity post in a group (limited to 1 per day)
- 5 Community Points for removing one of your group posts
- 5 Community Points for joining a group
- 5 Community Points for sending/replying to a private message
- 5 Community Points for changing your profile avatar
- 5 Community Points for changing the cover image
- 5 Community Points for updating profile information
- 5 Community Points for daily visits to the website (limited to 1 per day)
More achievements are to come.
In the near future, we will enhance this feature further so that you can view what you’ve accomplished and, more importantly, what you haven’t yet.
Note: Some of these may be blocked by current bugs or unfinished workflows. Please be patient as we continue to enhance the system and report any issues you find to the Community Feedback Forum.

This is a great reward and recognition structure. We’ll have to evaluate what our levels are as we grow (wiht pints0 and what the “badges” or rewards are as well.

How the system works is you “spend” your points on badges, titles, etc. The nice thing there is the user can choose which ones they want instead of it being automatically forced on them.
We haven’t built that out yet though. We need to decide what those rewards are and then build out the UI for spending points.
