I am excited about the MAHA goals. I am hoping it will open the door wide to allowing repurposed drugs for the treatment of cancer.
My radiologist is kind of interested in what FLCCC recommends. I printed some stuff off and gave it to him. Lead oncologist not so much. My family physician, that I have enjoyed for years, is totally opposed.
Two and a half years ago, I had endometrial adenocarcinoma, for which I had chemo. This spring, it had metastasized and I was very sick and in a lot of pain. Had to use a wheelchair or a walker. My leg had become useless and in a few weeks, it would have been amputated. I had radiation which shrunk the tumor and my leg started working again. However, the radiation was very risky, and I cannot have any more. The PET scan in September showed that it had shrunk, but was now very active.
Since I was told I could have no more chemo, no more radiation, no immunotherapy, and I would just be left with a tumor that is very active, shouldn’t I have the right to try whatever I want to try? I am so glad I found FLCCC, downloaded the Cancer Care book, read it, studied it, and read it some more. I started to do what I could on my own, but needed to find a doctor to help me. Then, the Find a Provider link connected me to an absolutely wonderful doctor! He is there to give me medical advice and also great encouragement.
Now, I am feeling great and can even run!
I have a PET scan on Dec 9 and see the radiologist on the 13th. I am looking forward to and praying for a clear scan. I am hoping the good results on the scan will encourage the radiologist to try repurposed drugs for others also.
