Pfizer has had to halt a highly anticipated study of its COVID anti-viral drug Paxlovid because it failed to alleviate the symptoms of people who were not at high risk for severe disease.
However, “results aren’t expected to impact [Pfizer’s] full-year revenue forecast. The drugmaker has already clinched $22 billion in contracts for the COVID pill for 2022.”
(Yep. As long as they can still make bank, who cares if the drug doesn’t work? Priorities, people. Priorities.)

So…the authors of a study measuring ivermectin’s efficacy for early COVID said they did NOT find a “clinically relevant effect” of the drug. They —and the mass media— have positioned the trial (known as ACTIV-6) as demonstrating a negative outcome for ivermectin, whereas the trial proved the opposite.
Uh…whoops. They will need to take another look at that. The fact is that there WAS a statistically significant, albeit modest, impact on time to clinical recovery for patients using ivermectin to treat COVID-19.
